Specialty Coffee Finder πŸ“

How we choose

Connecting specialty craftsmanship to people searching for coffee near me around the world.

That's the whole job. We verify every shop in this directory β€” 1,037 of them across 185 cities and 31 countries β€” so the people who pour with care and the people who love a good cup can find each other.

What makes it specialty

Specialty coffee β€” sometimes called third-wave β€” treats coffee like a craft, not a commodity. The beans are sourced from specific farms and roasted in small batches to bring out their character, and the shop dials in each cup rather than pumping out the same dark roast. It isn't about price or a fancy logo. It's a shop that cares about the bean, the roast, and the ten seconds it takes to pour it right.

How we vet

  1. 01

We look for the real thing

Roasting done with intent, beans sourced honestly, a menu built around the coffee. Independent and specialty β€” not a chain, not a gas-station pour.

  2. 02

    We verify from the source

We check each shop's own website and public information β€” that it roasts or pours the way it says, and that it's open. If we can't verify it, it doesn't go on.

  3. 03

    We list it β€” free

No shop pays to be listed, to rank higher, or to be called verified. Verified means vetted against real criteria, never a rating we faked. We'd rather be trusted than paid.

What we look for

  • Roasts in-house, or pours a roaster it's proud to name
  • Sources beans honestly, with traceability it stands behind
  • Builds its menu around the coffee β€” espresso, pour-over, or batch
  • Independent and specialty β€” not a chain or a gas-station pour

How we rank and how we make money

Every shop on our lists was checked against our specialty criteria using the shop's own public information, such as its website. That's what "verified" means here; it never means we visited the shop or tasted its coffee, yet. Every listing shows the month we last checked it. We don't score shops against each other: every city list runs in alphabetical order, so where a shop sits on a page isn't a grade. A city list holds the shops we've checked so far, not every specialty shop in the city. No one can pay to be listed or to move up a list, and today the site earns nothing. When we add affiliate links to coffee gear, each will be marked "(paid link)", and that money will never change which shops make a list, where they appear, or which gear we pick. Anything paid in the future, like a featured spotlight or an optional profile upgrade, will be labeled "Sponsored", sit outside our lists, and go only to shops that already meet our criteria.

No pay-to-play.

We're an independent guide β€” not affiliated with or endorsed by the shops we list. No shop can buy a spot or a better ranking. If we ever get something wrong, tell us and we'll fix it.
